DIFFERENCE BETWEEN KALYUG & OTHER YUGA (Satyuga, Tretayuga or Dwapar yuga)

Yuga, the word itself signifies the Ages, which is used to describe in the Indian History. India, or say Bharat, the rich and fertile country with deep knowledge of Vedas, Purans and Updesh like Gita flourished the people throughout the ages.

Yugas are divided in 4, termed as:-
1.) Sat Yuga (Golden Age)
2.) Treta Yuga (Silver Age)
3.) Dwapar Yuga (Bronze Age)
4.) Kal Yuga (Iron Age)

Satyuga, the very 1st yuga as per Hinduism which is also known as the best yuga and often called as Golden age in the history. It consists of purest part of the Varna i.e. Brahmin, which themselves are satisfied and were far away from the materialistic world. Knowledge, meditation, humanity and penance were present in this yuga.

Lord Vishnu incarnated 4 times in this era which are Matsya, Kurma, Varaha & Narsimha. Sat Yuga lasted for 17,28,000 years and average human lifespan was 100,000 years.

Treta Yuga, is the 2nd out of four yugas which is also known as Silver age in the religion of Hinduism. The Varna associated with this era is Kshatriyas. The most famous events of this yuga were Lord Vishnu's fifth, sixth and seventh incarnations as Vamana, Parashurama and Rama respectively.

The Treta Yuga lasted 12,96,000 years and average human life span was around 10,000 years.

Dwapar Yuga, is the third out of four yugas as described in the ancient scriptures of Hinduism. Dwapar yuga comes after Treta Yuga and before the dark Kali Yuga. The Varna associated with this era is Vaishyas. It is stated in the Puranas that this yuga ended when Krishna returned to his eternal abode of Vaikuntha.

Two major incarnation of Lord Vishnu in this era are Krishna & Gautam Buddha. According to the Bhagavata Purana, this yug lasts for 8,64,000 years and average life span reduced to 1,000 years.

Kali Yuga, the darkest of all the ages and called as Iron Age in which the quality of persons / people residing in that age deteriorates with respect to the time. Yugas has passed and now we are in the phase of Kalyuga which is considered as the lowest of all the Yugas. The Dharam Bull, which symbolises morality, stood on all the four legs in Sat Yuga, three legs during Treta Yuga and two in the later Dvapara Yuga. Currently, in the immoral age of Kali yuga, it stands on one leg.

The varna associated with this era is Shudra. The overall duration of Kali Yuga is around 4,32,000 years and the average life span of an individual is 100 years, which will further reduces to 20 years at the end of the yuga.

Lord Vishnu’s 10th Avatar named as Kalki will take place in this period. He shall be the one who destroys the Kaliyuga and reinitiate the holy and divine Satya yuga. And later on worshipped by the whole world.

QUESTION: IF GOD FORGIVES EACH ONE OF US FOR OUR MISTAKES, WHY ARE THERE PLACES LIKE HELL?

If god forgives each one of us for our mistakes-

First of all, there is no role of God here. As we all know, we are bound to perform Karma. We do good or bad with anyone, it will add good or bad deeds in our accounts. Forgiving here means that, we have to burn our sufferings due to deeds performed by us (due to both +ve/-ve deeds). Only by chanting the name of God, we can burn all sufferings, and get closer to the god and finally our soul attains Salvation (moksha).

So, we can say that, God will forgive us when we walk on the path of the god [i.e. meditation (to purify our soul), chanting of hymns (chanting god’s mantra to reach near to god), performing desire less karma (so that no addition of deeds in our accounts) etc.]

For Hell or Heaven

As we all know, we have to suffer good for our positive deeds and bad for our negative deeds. So if we do good, we have to spend some of the time in Heaven and vice versa in case of bad deeds i.e. we have to spend time in Hell.

And most of us don’t know that our basic aim in this living world is to attain Salvation (moksha) of our souls, which is travelling in this living world from years by taking many births (84 lakhs birth) and is under love for this materialistic world (moh, maya, lust).

So, majority of people, doesn’t know or does not walk on the path of God, even they don’t believe in Karma (deeds) not even God, so there are Hell & Heavens available to serve them accordingly as per their deeds.

QUESTION: WHY DO PEOPLE SEEK SALVATION? WHY NOT CONSIDER- "LIFE IS LIKE A GAME, LOVE TO PLAY & HOPE IT DOESN'T END"

Above all of your questions, we all know, Life will end once our time comes. So, whether you play, you enjoy, you make friends or whatever, IT WILL END ALSO, EVEN THE HOPE (referred in the question).

And you are only thinking of positive things, life also shows us the negative part of it, like death of beloved ones, health ailments, troubled relationships etc.  The word you referred “HOPE” actually doesn't exist in case of Rebirth, means you cannot be millionaire or king in next birth if you hope.

If all the positive things you mentioned get converted into negative one, you will feel sad, but Salvation or say when you walk on the path to achieve the stage of Salvation, you will be untouched by sorrow & grief. I mean, your mind will know the fact, that everything in this living world is materialistic and will end up for sure. But we do not have to grief or feel pain in that cases which may occur from time to time.

Salvation is the stage by virtue of which we will get rid off from the process of Rebirth.

I mean, everything in this world will end, So why so materialistic about it.

DEFINITION OF SOUL

SOUL is a form of (inner) energy, an unique particle of God which is roaming in the universe. This SOUL wants to get back to its parent, to meet its end/ to mix again from where it has been derived (GOD), but unfortunately does not have the adequate power to reach its origin.

Only Soul has the capability, which provides us the inner power to run our body apart from outside power we get from food, air & water. The Soul does not require food, air, water or anything to survive. Hence we can say that “SOUL IS A UNIQUE AND A VERY MINUTE PARTICLE OF GOD”, which cannot be seen through naked eye.

SOUL- Never Dies (Intangible)
BODY- Always Destroyed in the End (Tangible)

SOUL has the power to ENTER/ EXIT the body as per God’s wish, however God’s wish is based on the DEEDS (Karma) performed by the living being.

As stated, the SOUL does not have so much power to reach its destiny, so it waits outside the living world (universe) and waits for the god’s direction to enter the cycle of birth & death. As GOD, the almighty being so generous, he favors the SOUL (as it is a part of it) and directs him to enter a body to ENERGIZE it, so as to reach the God’s place and achieve SALVATIONAfter attaining the phase of Salvation, Soul never enters the living world.

It is as simple as that, A DROP OF WATER WAITING TO END IN THE OCEAN.

QUESTION: IS IT POSSIBLE TO EXIT THE CYCLE OF KARMA?

Yes, By attaining Salvation (Moksha), It is possible to exit the cycle of Karma.

SALVATION (Moksha in Hindu Mythology) is the process by virtue of it the Soul cannot enter in any life cycle and will never come to existence in future. In short, the soul exempt to born & death cycle and attains peace.

But one thing we must all understand, people thinks that by only doing good with others will lead us to exit the cycle of Karma, which is wrong. One has to burn all their positive and negative deeds for exiting the cycle of birth & death. Remember, only by doing good with others will again add positive deeds (karma) in our accounts, which will again provide us good results which we have to undergo in this materialistic world.

Importance of Karma Yoni (Human Life)

So, If we want to exit the cycle of Karma, we have to follow the path of Moksha, by means of devotion to the god, meditation, chanting of mantras/ hymns, worshiping, remembering god in each phase of life etc.
